Waste Management and Minimisation Plan Submission to Auckland Council

This is a submission by the Berrysmith Foundation on the Auckland Council Draft Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (Draft WMMP). The submission focuses solely on the collection of food waste, but comments on other aspects of the Draft WMMP, where they impact food waste management.

Why We Compost

Summary of Submission

The Berrysmith Foundation strongly supports the adoption of a food waste collection system but considers that the proposed weekly collection has an unnecessarily high environmental footprint.
